AWARDS & ACCOLADES
MPCT strives to provide excellence for both our students and employees, having gained multiple awards in the field of excellence for training and employment.
Here you’ll discover a few of the awards and accolades received, as well as our continuous efforts to provide high-quality standards in all areas.
TES: Training Provider of the Year 2017
We are very proud to have won training provider of the year at the 2017 TES FE Awards. This award celebrates the exceptional performance of independent learning providers. In 2017, the judges felt that MPCT’s “impressive” all-round work stood out.
Since its formation in 1999, MPCT has been “dedicated to offering opportunities to young people through training and education”. MPCT is made up of a number of training outlets across schools, colleges and sports facilities in England and Wales. In 2014, MPCT was rated “outstanding” in all areas by Ofsted. And in 2016, it reached its 10,000th enrolment.
Throughout the academic year, at MPCT we pioneered the use of “physical literacy” as a vehicle to engage students in English and maths programmes. MPCT has set the benchmark for providers across the country on physical literacy, and some universities are also now embedding the approach into their PGCE programmes.
To ensure a positive experience, we provide innovative and active support known as the “MPCT Way” – a holistic approach that blends active learning within a context of physical and personal development, resulting in outstanding impact and achievements. In 2016, the progression rate was 86 per cent.
The judges said MPCT delivered exceptional results for students, and they acknowledged that being graded “outstanding” by Ofsted was “no small task”, given that it required the provider to demonstrate levels of excellence and consistency across all its sites. “A deserving winner,” they added.

“Achieving excellence for all” – MPCT Mission Statement
Since its inception in 1999, MPCT has been committed to providing the highest quality education and training programs to young people across the UK. MPCT has always endeavoured to develop and enhance all educational experiences and the ISO 9001 certification demonstrates our ongoing commitment to consistent quality management.
The ISO standard describes a ‘Quality Management System’ as: “a management system designed to direct and control an organization with regard to quality.”
The scope of MPCT’s QMS is the design and delivery of education and training to students, including support services.
This ensures that all aspects of MPCT’s operations, that directly or indirectly relate to education and training, including support services, are part of the college’s QMS, and are therefore subject to evaluation and review. The effectiveness of the Quality Management System is monitored through a process of internal auditing, student feedback, and the analysis of that feedback and management review. Feedback from staff, who are integral in the application of the various components of the QMS, alerts the Quality Manager to potential problems and appropriate and timely revisions are made to correct the deficiency. Areas of non-conformance are addressed by raising corrective action requests and areas of potential non-conformance are addressed by initiating a preventive action request.
Matrix
The matrix Standard is a unique quality standard for organisations to assess and measure their advice and support services, which ultimately supports individuals in their choice of career, learning, work and life goals.
It promotes the delivery of high quality information, advice and/or guidance by ensuring organisations review, evaluate and develop their service; encourage the take up of professionally recognised qualifications and the continuous professional development of their staff.
The Standard consists of four elements that fit around your organisation’s business themes. These four elements are:
1. Leadership and Management
2. Resources
3. Service Delivery
4. Continuous Quality Improvement
At MPCT we recognise the benefit that quality information, advice and guidance gives to our students and stakeholders. We have robust processes and procedures in place to ensure that our quality management systems enable us to continually improve the quality of all that we do at MPCT.

IIP Platinum Award
In May 2019, we were awarded the highest standard PLATINUM of the Investors In People accreditation (IIP), a standard held by just 70 companies or 1% of the 8,300 UK firms with some form of the IIP accreditation.
The IIP standards are internationally recognised accreditations held by over 10,000 organisations across the world. Using rigorous assessment methodology and frameworks, the IIP sets a benchmark for better people management. The IIP defines what it takes to lead, support and manage people in a way that produces sustainable results.
To achieve the highest Platinum standard, firms must demonstrate ‘high performance’ in at least seven of the nine assessment indicators. By doing so, companies show that their culture and processes are based on the needs of the organisation and that both facets are understood, respected, adopted, and internalised by every member of their business from board to junior levels.

Best Companies Highest ‘World Class’ 3-Star Accreditation
A Best Companies accreditation shows that workplace engagement is taken seriously producing ‘very good’, ‘outstanding’ and ‘world class’ environments.

The accreditation not only exceeds MPCT’s 2020 two-star ranking of 720, but is particularly significant as the survey was undertaken while lockdown restrictions were in place.
