On Wednesday 6th of March, all our North East colleges will be devoting the day to raising money for our charity, the Motivation & Learning Trust.
Military Preparation College South Shields will be taking on a 311 mile challenge, the distance from MPCT Head Office to MPCT South Shields.
On the 6th March MPCT South Shields learners aged 16-23 will be taking part in a triathlon event using running, rowers and bikes to cover the 311 miles which is the distance from MPCT South Shields to MPCT Head Office in Cardiff. The learners are doing this to raise money for The Motivation & Learning Trust who support, develop and enhance life opportunities for MPCT learners past, present and future. They raise and administer funding in order to offer young people support in crisis and facilitate bespoke, inspirational educational opportunities that will ensure they become meaningful and contributing members of society who are confident, competent and fully aware of their role in being the best they can be. Many of our learners have already received support by being bought smart attire to use during our launch events and future interviews. They will also support a number of North East learners later this year on a Battlefield tour overseas.Richard Harnott, MPC South Shields Lead Instructor
