MPCT’s International Poetry Day

MPCT is unique in it’s sector in that in every Military Preparation College, every Learner learns the “IF” poem by Rudyard Kipling.

MPCT’s Managing Director, Huw Lewis MBE has directed this unique element of MPCT since the establishment of MPCT in 1999. He believes that the self-confidence gained from being able to publicly speak and deliver such a motivational piece is essential to the Learners, and will support them in further public occasions as well as life their self-esteem.

For all Awards Ceremonies and Launch Events, four chosen Learners recite the poem in front of large crowds of VIPS, and many other guests. The Learners always blow guests away with their delivery of the poem and are admired for having such confidence.

Below is a video from our MPC Edgware and Battersea College launches from last year, it perfectly demonstrates how brilliant our Learners are.
